USA Today: Five years ago this month, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim rented a small room above a San Mateo, Calif., pizza parlor, and began a beta launch of their new website devoted to videos. YouTube went on to become a sensation, changing forever the worlds of entertainment and politics. Some 24 hours of footage is uploaded to YouTube every minute. Some 2 billion videos are displayed daily.
