Blackberry, iPhone, Android drive 49% smartphone jump

A new report shows a 49 percent jump in global sales of smartphones to 54.3 million units in the first quarter, led by Research in Motion Ltd.'s Blackberry, Apple Inc.'s iPhone and devices that use Google Inc's Android operating system.

The new report from Gartner Inc., however, shows the iPhone operating system still No. 2 ahead of Android globally, contrary to an earlier report from the NPD Group.

when i got my first smart phone in 2007 people were like that's stupid. and now look at them lol. i pity most people that have non smart phones i could never go back. you get so much freedom with a Android, Iphone and blackberry os and even WIN mobile 6.5

I've fixed the images on some of these past submissions of yours. Please in the future make sure the image isn't broken on submission.( I always found it best to download/upload it to be honest. )
