A six-core, 12-thread processor with a $299 price tag, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is a great choice for midrange gaming CPUs. Out of the new Zen 3-based processors the business is offering, it has the best core count and price ratio. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X stands out when compared to the typical Intel Core i5-10600K, offering Intel serious competition (even though it comes with a little higher price tag than we're used to from Ryzens).
I'm so disappointed in AMD. In order to use either one of those, I'd have to get it FOR FREE. They are inefficient space heaters, and their performance does not impress. They need more expensive power supplies and system cooling. The 1660ti, stupidly named though it may be, is a game changer, and AMD know it. Turing architecture without RT or Tensor cores, performing at GTX1070 levels for 1060 prices, and using a fraction of the power. 1660s (non-ti) and 1650s are rumored to be underway as well.
We need real competition for Nvidia. I hope AMD step up their game soon, or Intel gets into the game in earnest.
