say what you want but i hope to see nvidia collapse for monopolizing the market.

xRacer74x1973d ago

How is it their fault their only rival AMD failed to make a competitive product?

Cobra9511972d ago

Not collapse, but certainly cut down to size. AMD has a golden opportunity here, now that the anticonsumer crap Nvidia has been pulling has culminated with the ludicrously expensive RTX cards, which bring only a mild boost in performance, and a technology not ready for prime time. I hope AMD take it. There's a possibility Intel will enter this market as well. The more competitors, the merrier.

Parasyte1972d ago

Yeah, this anti-consumer crap is why my next build will be all AMD.

I was planning to get a 1080ti but the prices went nuts and now i'm hoping in a couple months the prices settle down for maybe i can buy a used one instead.

kevnb1972d ago

Maybe if there was more competition, but as is we need them.

MWH1972d ago

It's the ugly truth.

Is this article satire,... I can’t tell.

ethereal_trespasser1973d ago

NO. On Amazon, the 1080 Ti is selling for around $1000. This is the only place where the prices are reasonable

Cobra9511972d ago

Well, the 1080ti is nearly gone from the market, and they're not making any more. I can see supply and demand rearing its ugly head here. However, they have a deluge of unsold 1060s. Those should be available for mid-$200s at most. I certainly wouldn't pay more.
