There's only one way SLI will ever work well across the board, and that's by being wholly transparent to applications. If development work is needed for every new game to work with SLI, it ain't gonna happen in most cases. Most of us don't bother with multiple GPUs, and that goes triple for the gouged current market. Why should devs invest any significant time into it?
