Odd how MS are spending a fortune on this while neglecting VR on the Xbox.

Microsoft has been clear that while Hololens has great potential for gaming, like Minecraft, it's initial focus is industry. Gaming is a market worth 60 billion. But industrial applications could amount to potential trillions world wide and help in education, medicine and factory efficiency. Gamers should let them foot the bill for us to get it cheap. Plus some of those things are kinda important.

The inclusion of an AI chip may be a hint that they are moving to Ryzen on the CPU. Ryzen has a built-in AI. I believe the current Hololens has a 8(?) core Atom 28 nm CPU. A 4 core 7nm Grey Hawk Ryzen/Vega might be a little better. A little s/.

Well games as a whole may not be as important for work in the industry or the general consumer in the future. And maybe there will even be some consumation of the two in the future.

I hope this leads somewhere cause it has potential to be fantastic.

Hololens 2.0 should hopefully bring the product closer to consumer release. Maybe even cut down costs.
