Yeah, I never understood that nonsense either.

There is no such thing as "clean coal". What annoys me even more is that you have people dumb enough to parrot it like clean coal is a thing

GamingManiac2519d ago

yes there is, look at the coal plant they built in Saskatchewan, Canada. Zero emission. It is possible, just isn't cheap.

Speed-Racer2519d ago

@GamingManiac - Coal is not the solution regardless. That's the long run point I'm making. In other news, cheeto has pulled out of the climate accord.

Sure we'll join the Paris Climate Accord. Right after Russia, China, and India join it. Why are Western countries always being punished for the sake of "progressive" causes? What difference will the Paris Climate deal really make if other countries will just continue to pollute without regulations? Elon Musk needs to shut his mouth he would be nothing without the billions his companies leech off the US government.

Aloren2519d ago

Russia China and India all joined the Paris Climate Accord. Actually they all did on the same day the US did. The big difference is that they all reiterated their support and are now waiting to see whether or not trump is going to covfefe the rest of the world.

Stringerbell2519d ago

Are you daft or something? Literally the entire world is on board with this issue. Even the countries you named, even crazy ass North Korea signed off on it. Try actually doing a bit of research before you vomit all over the comment section. Thanks!

Sure, 100 trillion dollars to cool the Earth 0.3 degrees in 100 years..

Cobra9512519d ago

. . . while millions starve or freeze to death in unaffordable winters. Take the power-play politics out of the climate, and then we can talk about it.

EazyC2519d ago (Edited 2519d ago )

Wow, what a complete and utter scam by these so-called "environmentalists", the Paris Agreement is an utter farce. Not disregarding the climate change stuff (really I am not), but the whole thing seems to have been brokered by the financial giants of green-energy, ie the very beneficiaries of the absurd subsidies given out as part of this agreement. Absolute con job. It's all about control, nothing to do with the environment.

China and India's carbon emissions are so immense that no amount of effort on the UN's part could even attempt to mitigate the effect on the environment. Not only that, but the amount of money the US was contributing as part of this Agreement was so disproportionate to the amount it was emitting. So glad that the US isn't bending over and taking it from this phony-"concerned" parties.
