this is the type of nonsense that leads to more problems.

people will then encrypt the copyrighted content and still have it available to download. then they going to say encryption is used for piracy so it shouldnt be allowed. thats what happened with torrents.

What happened to torrents? They worked fine last time I checked.

People always find ways around restrictions. All that draconian measures accomplish is to make things more cumbersome and expensive for everyone. In the current political climate, it's hard to say how far this latest RIAA assault on internet freedom will go. Hopefully, nowhere.

Interestingly, the current high stakes political climate may be the perfect cover to slip draconian measures like this while nobody is looking.

Look over there its the commies!

@cobra
torrents dont work 100% where i am.
1) its either night time only. (12am-5am)
2) its very slow (max speed i hit was somwhere around 45kbps - yes. kbps)
3) it doesnt work at all.

i used to use it to download Linux Isos at one stage but now i just do direct downloads overnight using a download manager instead. torrents used to be more reliable for large downloads thats the reason i used it.

You need a private tracker. Most of the big sites that freely distribute are hosting once glorious trackers that are either dying or dead.
