Meet Windows 10’s final free upgrade notification

MWEB GameZone writes: "Windows 10's latest and final upgrade notification goes full screen."

Lol. So what are you guys gonna post about after the 29th?

starchild3018d ago

I've dual booted between Window 7 and Windows 10 for over half a year, but honestly every time I use Windows 7 I realize how much better Windows 10 is. I think I'm ready to just move over everything to Windows 10.

I moved from the very first day I got the upgrade option. It's been a great experience for me so far and everything runs so much better than Windows 7, and I thought Win7 was great.

I'm wondering why a brand like Microsoft is forcing users to upgrade to Windows 10.

you say force but they are reminding people that it is free for now. After the 29th it could be like all of a sudden people complain because they missed out and demand MS make it free again.

And yes it is a good OS. I have no regrets getting it for free.

I'm sorry but I need to correct your statement.... MS Windows 10 is NOT "free." Sure, you don't exchange anything monetarily when you make the decision to upgrade, but what you don't exchange monetarily, you give up in your privacy and your data. And that direct access to your information is MORE valuable to a company like MS or Google (another company which gives away every technology and service, practically, for "free") than collecting $120 from each purchase... And also because they (MS and Google) perpetually mine your personal data the entire time you continue to use said services.

I would also argue that the Windows 10 platform is no longer just an OS, it is now a service. A service that you will never own and one that MS could pull out from under you at any point (if they so chose) or one that would also go away if MS servers ever went offline. Both are implausible, but the potential for a massive data breach is never more than an inevitable possibility... My point is - the cloud, while convenient, is not all it's cracked up to be.

Uniformity. At least we can't complain that there are still people browsing on IE5.5

People are crazy not upgrading to Windows 10 I've used every single copy of windows for the last 30 years and none have been as good as Windows 10

KingPin3017d ago

damn dude.....every single copy?...do you not read news on the internet?
everyone in their right mind would've skipped ME, 2000 and vista without even having to think about it.

M$ can take their Windows 10 and shove it.
