They want to put out as much as they can while they're in the spotlight. They'll probably, even if subtly, acknowledge how they take care of their users' privacy during their reveal.
They will sell loads of their budget handsets on a wave of popularity for taking on the government when really these tech firms only care about users privacy when it means someone else might get access to the data they use to pass on to their commercial partners for advertising etc.
They are not gonna stop with their development procedure and the launch of their new product is just another achievement. I don't think big companies like Apple gonna affect themselves with this fight against FBI.
