The French being weak is right wing political propaganda based on France not being willing to kiss their asses. The same people that go on and on about the Founding Fathers being so great seem to have forgotten that the French are the ones who made American independence possible. Though that also means the French are kinda responsible for our idiot politicians.

So, you are basically saying, to vote is idiotic, since the system, as good as it may be, is controlled by idiotic, uninformed Americans that don't know what they are doing? Therefore, defeating the purpose of voting to begin with.

Fact is, it doesn't matter who you vote for. There is no possible way you can know every single aspect of that person. Sure, you may know their view on politics and gun control, but you don't know them as a person and that's a big thing to know. I lived with a woman for 10 years and I knew her inside and out, but in public, in public people only saw her best side. They didn't see who she really was behind private doors like I did. So it's impossible to vote for the right person, because you will never, ever truly know who they are in private.

No, I said to educate yourself. Learn about the candidates. Bernie Sanders isn't new to politics. He's been in the senate for years. He has a very long and very public voting record. So we do know what he stands for and he has been consistent in his position. You could even look up his voting record if you liked.

The problem with America is Americans don't understand our government. We like a sound bite more than knowledge of what a person does. We have divided ourselves into groups and refuse to accept new information.

I don't trust the major parties because I know they are corrupt. I know they prevent additional candidates from entering our elections. That alone is enough to eliminate them for me. But add that they put bills in place that allow them and their families to trade based on insider information. Once people found out they overturned the law. After the fuss died down they put it back in place. That would eliminate them for me. They drag their feet on any law that benefits the public but rush laws that benefit corporations through. They sign trade deals in private and seal them so the public can't know what they say. They lie and get us into wars they know are based on lies. They allow chemicals in our food even China won't allow their people to eat. We have the "best" healthcare system but live fewer years than most of the industrialized world. While spending nearly three times what most of those countries spend to cover their entire population. The Democratic party never brought that up during the healthcare debate. Like they never truly try to counter any Republican position.

Any of the things I named should be deal breakers for any American. But we still allow two groups of crooks to run this country. Forget to mention they allowed corporations and wall street to completely wreck the world economy and arrested no one. In fact they handed billions of dollars.
