One thing, I know several people in the Insider program and they already have it. Some got it last week, others got it a little bit before that, but the earlier ones were more beta style and the ones that got it last week are more final release.

Just saying that because the article says insiders won't get it until the 29th, but the 29th is when it starts going public. I'm not in the insider program and got the upgrade icon that says it will download the 29th.

I installed that piece of junk windows 8 when it first came out, quickly reverted back to 7. I've just upgraded again to get ready for windows 10, lets hope MS learn from their mistakes.

The people in the insider program have all told me it's super clean and easy to use. More importantly they said it was fast, but Windows is always fast at first then slows down over time.(supposedly they fixed that)

Also worth noting, if you get it through the insider program you are basically stuck in it. Which means you will keep getting pre-release updates even after this.
