Researchers have successfully demonstrated pattern recognition using a magnonic holographic memory device, a development that could greatly improve speech and image recognition hardware. They built a prototype eight-terminal device consisting of a magnetic matrix with micro-antennas to excite and detect the spin waves. It takes about 100 nanoseconds for recognition, which is the time required for spin waves to propagate and to create the interference pattern. The main challenge is the scaling of the operational wavelength, which requires the development of sub-micrometer scale elements for spin wave generation and detection.
The supermassive black hole is 40 million times as massive as the sun and powers a quasar that existed 700 million years after the Big Bang.
The OnePlus Watch 2 is touted for having incredible battery life for a Wear OS watch, and that saved me when I forgot the charger on a trip.
Vision Pro is here and it’s a surprisingly capable device. Apple has also loaded the headset with a ton of options and features that aren’t obvious at first glance.
