Microsoft launched the new Surface 3 tablet today. Not to be confused with the more expensive and powerful Surface Pro 3, the Surface 3 is based on the new Intel Atom x7 processor. Also, unlike the Surface 2 before it, the new Surface 3 runs an x86 version of Windows 8.1 (no Windows RT).
