No thank you. I want to be in control of my vehicle. Next they will want the government to be able to automatically disable my private property if my registration is expired.
you do know that at some point these cars will be programmed to kill you.
coz one day it'll have to make that decision of "do i swerve to avoid this road accident in front of me but kill 3 people on the sidewalk, or do i drive straight into this accident and only kill the one passenger i have." i doubt any company will program logic that will say "my passengers life is more important than 3 other random people". even if the passenger is a CEO of a multi-billion dollar company and the 3 people on the side walk are homeless.
self driving cars, no thank you. if i wanted to leave my life in someone elses hands, id use a taxi.
