What do you do when you want to find a clean source of renewable energy? Invent a machine that transforms plastics into oil.
The Verge - True story: back when I worked for Engadget it was always my dream to cover a Steve Jobs keynote. I knew how to liveblog, I knew how to do photos for a liveblog. I was capable. But I'm also a walking embodiment of Murphy's Law. Everything that can go wrong with technology, will go wrong in my hands. What if I can't connect to the internet? What if my camera's not working? I'm sure it takes a lot of electricity to make one liter of oil.
what a strange thing to invent.
I'm sure the oil companies will round house kick this with law suits or what not
That sounded insane at first. Yeah it probably does consume a lot of energy.
nothing can really beat solar energy and wind farms. plus i think the plastic that's changed into oil is just as bad as not using plastic to make oil.
