Mystery Mars haze baffles scientists

A mysterious haze high above Mars has left scientists scratching their heads. The vast plume was initially spotted by amateur astronomers in 2012, and appeared twice before vanishing. Scientists have now analysed the images and say that say the formation, stretching for more than 1,000km, is larger than any seen before.

Its the Shadow Broker's ship =p Weird though the 'haze' is at an elevation that no cloud should form. And its not as if some volcano on the planet erupted either.

Impact cloud from meteor?

I thought that as well but apparently this isn't the first time they have seen this formation.

'They first spotted the strange plume in March 2012 above Mars' southern hemisphere. The vast, bright haze lasted for about 10 days. A month later, it reappeared for the same length of time. But it has not been seen since.'

Kind of creepy.

Dust Storm? Either way the first Mars Colony will find out soon when we discover their remains...

Oh, well, in that case it's clearly a Martian Burning Man festival.

No cops = No limits... that's just a giant cloud of weed smoke.

It's obviously God farting. Blessed be the brown haze. Let us build a rocket in His honor and travel to Mars to fill our lungs with that divine flatus.

Most likely is charged particles hitting a weak magnetic field.Though this is something we should look into.Knowing where Mar's has magnetic fields could help know where we should build once where there.

It looks more like dust than aurora borealis.
