Japan has it like for the last 20 years, hasnt?

I don't understand why there is hype over Apply Pay. People seem to thinks it's something innovative. It isn't.

Why doesn't the article talk about NFC payment options on other platforms to compare features? I've been using NFC payments from my Windows Phone for over a year (and I was late to the game) and I'm certain most Android phones can do it, too. It hasn't failed me yet and I can use it most anywhere there is the option to.

Lets be truthful here, were not talking about how innovative Android and others have been because they haven't. Simple as, if they were we would all be using their products and endorsing their ideals.

Their seems to be an issue here with people saying Apple has never innovative, when actually they have. And quoting oohh but they rip others folks stuff, but isn't that exactly what every other manufacturer does. Stick new technology with old technology to create an experience.

Theirs a difference between inventing and innovation:

Inventing a time machine isn't innovation - You create something which does not have an equal.

Innovation in how people pay isn't inventing - You create something which does have an equal but showing your idea/process works better than its equal.

Apple put together technology new and old to create an experience which enhances a previous task, improves the outcome or makes the object more interesting. Its never case about putting the coolest tech into an object because doing that would be pointless.

@Tiqila It takes more than just adding NFC to a device to create an experience. Apple added NFC to their device then combined it with software protocols and sold the idea to companies who then advertised the technology.

Yeah NFC was probably dreamt up 40 years ago but the real world application has only came about in the last 3 years with pretty shit attempt much how the dreamcast came about.
