VRFocus - Three of the biggest names in the technology have gotten involved with virtual reality (VR) technology in 2014 to some degree. Google's Cardboard VR concept proved an interesting alternative for low-cost VR while Samsung revealed a more premium smartphone-based VR head-mounted display (HMD) in Gear VR. Then of course there's Project Morpheus, the upcoming HMD from Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) for the PlayStation 4. This week sees French technology firm Archos add its name to that list.
Kodak introduced its own range of tablets that will focus more photo editing in a budget. The tablet is designed by and manufactured by Archos but its brand comes through a license with Kodak.
The French company Archos has announced four new Android-powered smartphones ahead of Mobile World Congress 2015. Along with three mid-range smartphones, the company has also unveiled a new high-end phone. The whole lineup will be showcased at MWC trade show.
Thanks to the endeavours of some of the UK’s biggest networks, most people now live in a region where 4G connectivity is available; there’s even talk of launching 5G in a few years. With lightning-quick download, upload and browsing speeds, 4G is a big improvement over what 3G connectivity can offer users.
