“Dear Mr. Human” – United Airlines copy/pastes apology letter without editing

If you’ve worked in customer service before, you may know that many apology letters tend to be either copy/pasted or auto-generated for the sake of being able to respond promptly, until a more detailed reply can be generated. Unfortunately for United Airlines, their response system fouled up after they accidentally sent out a very impersonal reply to a customer’s complaint.
