Nvidia has smartly managed to build hype of the launch of the GTX 980 and 970, using GAME24., their live streaming event. The GeForce GTX 980 uses the Maxwell architecture, and is the first graphics card unveiled in the series. The GTX 750 Ti was also Maxwell based and did the card wonders in dropping its power footprint without sacrificing performance. Likewise, the GTX 980 promises a lot. Maximum PC: Big things are happening in the gaming laptop market. We're starting to see notebooks with panels that support Nvidia's G-Sync technology, faster storage options (M.2 SATA, for example), and coming soon, true desktop class GPUs.
