"Motorola announced the updated Moto X and Moto G models last week during the IFA Trade Show. While the Moto G (2014) is already priced and available for purchase, the Moto X (2014) will only start shipping later this month or early October depending on your region. However, you can already pre-order the smartphone now from a number of retailers if you want to make sure that you’ll get it as soon as it launches."
"Owners of Motorola smartphones are well aware of the advantages the brand brings. Along with Google’s own Nexus line, the Motorola phones are among the first to get important OS updates for Android, and this seems to be the case once again with the company’s flagship phone, the 2014 version of the Moto X (2nd gen)."
If you want to buy a Moto X (2nd Gen.) off-contract, your best bet is to go with the unlocked Pure Edition. However, that unfortunately means you’ll be stuck with only 16 or 32GB of on-board storage. And remember, the Moto X doesn’t have any room for expandable storage, so 32GB is the most you can get… well, up until now.
My Tech Update - Android 5.0 Lollipop seems to be making serious inroads, with Moto X 2nd Gen all set to receive update starting this week in India.
