A software developer from Greece who goes by the handle “harkaz” has been working hard to build an unofficial Service Pack 4 for Windows XP with the goal to bring together all the official Windows XP x86 updates from Microsoft in one cumulative package. Currently, the unofficial SP4 is in a 3rd Beta release stage and harkaz promises that the Release Candidate (RC) is coming very soon.
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
The blog post reads, “We’re introducing a new WhatsApp app for Windows that loads faster and is built with an interface similar to the app's mobile version.”
Since the middle of February, customers of AMD graphics cards have been reporting situations in which Windows installations were entirely bricked after installing new drivers.
This is a huge number and many individuals and companies small to large have no option other than to keep running on this obsolete OS
