Backup Service Kicks Customer Over “Infringing” Torrent Files

Cloud storage and backup service Zoolz has terminated the account of a customer who stored a few .torrent files on his computer. While the company boasts of handling customer data with "zero knowledge," the provider frequently scans customer files for infringing titles and metadata.

That is why you do not leave that type of data in open access when using cloud storage. Compress or store it in a non pass protected .rar or .zip file, move it into a folder, then store the folder in a second password protected .rar or .zip. That way nobody can even see the file names or types without the password.
