Recently, reports have surfaced that Samsung is working on a newer line of flagship devices, with the first phone in the series to be called Galaxy Alpha and have a body made at least partially out of metal. Well, thanks to one of our sources, we have managed to grab hold of live images of the device. The images confirm earlier reports that the Galaxy Alpha will sport a 4.7-inch screen and a metallic construction, though Samsung has opted to use aluminium on the sides while keeping the faux leather back that we’ve seen on the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 3. which should help in offering both a solid grip and a premium

The Galaxy Alpha, Samsung’s first attempt of creating a metal phone to suit the new trend for premium design, is going to be discontinued in favor of the new line inspired by the expensive mid-ranger.
Nope, I have the alpha and I love the look of it but the phone is laggy as hell. The battery is horrible, pictures come out terrible and people can't hear me when I'm trying to talk to them over the phone.
Samsung intentionally gimped this phone to compete with the iphone which makes no sense since this phone is ATT exclusive.
Nexus 5 is a better phone which is kinda sad considering the prices of these two phones.

I like where Samsung is heading. Metal uni body and at least a gig of ram. It seems to me like the phones are build more quality overall even those charger port's I think are more rigid
