5-year-old boy has tumor removed thanks to 3D printing

From the article: "A team of surgeons from the Hospital Sant Joan de Deu successfully removed a tumor inoperable until now thanks to a practice surgical procedure performed on a 3D printed tumor.

The surgery was performed on a 5 year old boy suffering from Neuroblastoma, one of the most common types of cancer in young children and surgeons were faced with a complicated situation where the tumor is located between vital arteries and organs. So, what do they do? They turn to 3D printed technology to help solve the problem."
