Does life exist beyond Earth? Aliens could be discovered within 20 years, scientists say

Want to know if life exists beyond the Earth? You may have to just wait for 20 more years!

Life may exist on at least half a dozen other worlds — besides the Earth — and it may just take us another two decades to discover it, according to scientists.

I am so tired of seeing aliens on earth everyday, about time I needed this. oh wait, that's another 20 years. o.O

Devil-X3615d ago

May be you just having vision that can travel a trillion miles into the future.. Haha, JKD..

DivineHand1253616d ago

I really hope they continue to be funded until they complete their mission because it would be a shame to see all that time and money go to waste.

Devil-X3615d ago

Even I want to see what aliens would like and would they be eligible for a role in a hollywood movie or not... So yeah funding should not be stopped.

MEsoJD3616d ago

I hope we discover intelligent Alien beings in my life time. Religion would implode.

slate913616d ago

Nephilim from Genesis would disagree. The more you know!

Nolando3616d ago

nephilim are not aliens...

SilentNegotiator3615d ago (Edited 3615d ago )

I thought Nephilim were half-angels that were killed in the flood because God told the angels not to do the horizontal bop with humans or something like that.

Anyway, the way I see it, whether you're a theist or athiest (bu dum tish....see what I did with my grammar?), there's no reason to not suspect other life in the universe.

1) Athiest - The vastness and variety of space makes for good chances of other instances of life evolving in the universe. The chances of any in our perceivable range are just incredibly slim.

2) Thiest - God created man on a whim. Why would he stop with populating just one of the billions of planets that he created?

Nolando3614d ago

If you want to look at it as Angels are aliens I can see your POV, but wouldn't something that is born on this earth (since Nephilim were born on the earth to earth women) not be considered aliens.

As far as your general reasoning of God creating man on a whim is not my belief but your welcome to have your belief and reasoning.

My religion doesn't deny that there are other life forms out there

Plutoking3612d ago

Mine too, but my conscience denies that there is some other life forms out there outside planet Earth.

SilentNegotiator3615d ago

Militant internet atheism has gotten so out of hand.

Surat Ash-Shuraa [42:29] “And of His signs is the creation of the HEAVENS AND THE EARTH and what He has DISPERSED throughout THEM of CREATURES. And He, for gathering them when He wills, is competent.”

Surat al-Fatihah (very first chapter) [1:2]: [All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the WORLDS. (plural universes in arabic / or Multiverse) -

If someone tells you hey look aliens=no god, tell them Islam would like to disagree on that statement.

Ol_Boy3615d ago

@MEsoJD And then the aliens we discover tells humanity there in fact is a God and then you implode.

MEsoJD3615d ago

They could tell me, but I would of course take it with skepticism. I don't have a problem with believing in a god if convincing evidence is presented.

SilentNegotiator3615d ago (Edited 3615d ago )

It would certainly be interesting if we met aliens that similar religion/s to ours.

But then that both planets know of a similar force, OR it could mean that we evolved socially in a similar matter.

SilentNegotiator3615d ago (Edited 3615d ago )

"...that **HAD** similar..."
"But then **that could mean** that..."

I'm not sure how I butchered that comment to such an extent.

dcortz20273615d ago

How so? God created the universe and ALL creatures that inhabit it, not just humans..

MEsoJD3615d ago

That's a matter of opinion. Many religious persons I know/met don't believe in intelligent life on other planets. This mostly comes down to a common belief that we are special and supposedly made in the image of the creator. Seeing how open to interpretation the common holy books used today, it's totally understandable that you would have a different take.
