Maximum PC: We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of DDR4 memory into the mainstream market, though it's going to take some time. After all, Intel's next generation Z97 chipset still uses the DDR3 standard, though on the bright side, a transition is slowly taking place. One of the driving forces is Crucial, a subsidiary of Micron, which has begun sampling next-generation DDR4 server memory through its new Technology Enablement Program.
