Alienware, popular maker of gaming laptops, has never shied away from bold design choices to make its computers stand out in an otherwise dull category. They may not be suitable for the boardroom, but the company's fluorescent pops of color speak to the gamer community, and its top rigs—like the $2,449 Alienware 17 (Radeon R9 M290X version) are great, albeit expensive, choices for gamers who need power on the go.
Dell has launched the upgraded version of their Alienware 17 R4 for the year 2017. It starts at $1,299.99 and it goes all the way up to $3,118.99.
can anyone explain to me why dell alienware machines are more expensive than other gaming laptops like ASUS and gigabyte of the same spec? do they not all use the same parts inside.
Enjoy VR anywhere with Alienware's top end laptops.
Hopefully there'll be a good review out of these soon to see just how well it handles VR and which headsets.
$1300+ entry level price is just ridiculous.
Still can't get excited for VR, I'll get it, test it out and have my fun,... For a while,... but it'll never be as big as the hype of it has become.
"Dell took full advantage of all the hype currently going on at CES 2015 to unveil a few of their own products, including a couple of new Alienware gaming laptops. First off, we have what seems to be the world’s lightest 15-inch Alienware laptop in the form of the Alieware 15. This machine is also thinner than previous offerings and comes complete with a quality aluminum chassis and a very impressive 4K resolution display."
