Hammerhead ‘Interested’ in Other VR Headsets for Undercurrent

VRFocus: Hamerhead Interactive is currently working on a virtual reality (VR) underwater exploration title named Undercurrent. The videogame is in development for PC and features full support for the Oculus Rift VR headset. Of course, when the project started development the Oculus Rift was essentially the only VR headset that developers could get their hands on. Now new options such as Project Morpheus and GameFace have extended the technology’s reach to PlayStation 4 and mobile platforms respectively. Will Undercurrent find its way to these new platforms?

Altergaze VR Headset Passes Kickstarter Funding

VRFocus - Altergaze, a mobile virtual reality (VR) headset for use with smartphones, has passed its Kickstarter funding goal of £25,000 GBP. Designer Liviu Berechet Antoni passed the goal with just over 3 days left of the campaign, ending on 1st May 2014. At the time of writing a total of 359 backers have pledged their support towards the project, helping start the manufacturing of the 3D-printed device by building a small production line.

Altergaze Creator Talks Design, Price and Competition - VRFocus

VRFocus: Altergaze, an affordable smartphone-based VR peripheral, launched a Kickstarter campaign yesterday. Designer Liviu Berechet Antoni is looking to raise £25,000 GBP to help start manufacturing the headset, which places two lenses around a smartphone and then displays supported apps in stereoscopic 3D. VRFocus recently spoke to Antoni about the product, the competition and the campaign.
