Pocketnow - With a device as aesthetically focused as the new HTC One M8, slapping a case on the back amounts to something like sacrilege (even more so than usual). That aluminum! That machined precision! Those chamfers!
But then again … that aluminum. That precision. Those chamfers. We’ve shown time and again that building a device from metal and polishing it to a jewel-like finish is an approach that results in beautiful unboxings, but also in products that don’t necessarily hold up well over time. Cases may be ugly, but they sure can protect an investment if they’re built properly.

to get Marshmallow Updates this Week
The HTC One M9 should be getting a Mini version, and new evidence from infamous Upleaks has surfaced. Judging by the usual release timeline of HTC, the HTC One M9 should be released roughly at the same time the HTC One M8 Mini 2 was last year.
"Looking back on the year that was, 2014 was probably one of the most competitive years for smartphone manufacturers in a good while. It’s not just Apple products on the radar of the trendy, and that’s also a good thing.
As a result, we’ll give you our top phones of the year, the real stand out performers, sellers and jet setters, that have undoubtedly been the most important and exciting releases of the year."
I think Xiaomi's phones could've made the list given their overall success in China.
