Vyralize: Scientists have made a break through discovery by figuring out how the body’s immune system makes a powerful antibody that blocks HIV infection of cells by targeting a site on the virus called V1V2. They believe that if a relevant vaccine could elicit potent antibodies to a target a specific site of the V1V2 region that remains stable throughout the virus’s mutation, then the vaccine could protect people from getting HIV.
