HardwarePal : On Friday a spokeman from Intel Chris Kraeuter stated that Intel is planning a lay off of 5380 people by the end of 2014. Intel is not alone in this process as HP(Hewlett-Packard) also announced earlier that they would be performing an additional 5000 lay offs this year which will total 34,000 starting from 2012.
Last Friday, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger told CNBC he thinks the chip shortage will last into 2024.
