The Verge - It’s pretty common to see scantily clad women at trade shows for industries dominated by men, and CES, the electronics trade show that lures around 150,000 people every January, is typically no different.
Because booth babes are pleasing on the eye. You could always hire some booth dudes for equality's sake, but men are ugly and they smell.
Exactly! Everything is better with pretty ladies. Except... no I got nothing.
Because they attract attention and the companies want them there. Next dumb question, please.
People want them Dont ever suggest getting rid of them again
cuz sex sells
i dont want to be offensive ;D http://cdn3.sbnation.com/as... but here where are the pretty girls?! i dont see anyone lol
hahahha lol. DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT AGAIN
they were pretty average
Ain't nothing wrong with a butterface now and again ;D
Because the majority of the audience are males..
Do the people saying "get rid of booth babes" have no consideration for the ladies losing a paying job because people who complain want to feel morally superior? Why not ask the women if they want the concept scrapped? Perhaps because the perpetually offended types might not like the answer, IMO. When they advertised Diet Coke to women, there was a whole ad campaign full of hunky men to catch their attention. Sex sells - and by that, I mean it catches the attention, which is what advertisers want. It's not really that difficult a concept, and it works on both sexes.
Sex sells. Always had, always will.
