HTC Details Android 4.4 KitKat Update Schedule for HTC One

GadgetsRound: "HTC wants to the end the year on a positive note by giving their customers a good look at their behind the scene work on phone software updates. It has released a complete look at what goes into updating a phone’s software and what steps are involved in the process. This seems like a step to make customers understand that updating a phone’s software isn’t as easy as they might think and that’s why many phones don’t receive quick updates."

Verizon is last on the list. Love paying more for crap phone support from them.... only took them almost a year to just get the phone now they are last with the update as usual.... this is Verizon's weakness.....

As always carrier locked phones are just crappy when it comes to updates.

Verizon sucks with it though. It takes carriers forever to get them, it takes Verizon twice as long to get them. Then they always have to push their Verizon crap on us.

They literally just let HTC One update to 4.3 and with it came stupid NFL apps and Verizon GPS apps that require subscriptions. I have maybe 1 page of apps, after the update I had 3 pages.... spent 10 minutes disabling them all.... During the download all it said it was updating was the OS and safety features....

Their customer service in stores is a pain too. ask them for an opinion at all and they auto shove you to the iPhone or Samsung phones, if not Motorola crap. Ask about LG, Sony, HTC, etc... nothing. When I purchased an Ericson the entire time the store manager was telling me to get a Galaxy, right down to the second I paid she went "are you sure? don't come back returning it after this....." So I purchased my HTC One at BestBuy to avoid them lol

I love their service and don't mind paying for good service, I just hate their phone support and annoying apps.
