How to use or activate the BBM on iPhone or Android

My Tech Update - Blackberry Messenger (fondly called BBM) service is still one of the messaging app around if you want a neat looking messaging app with secure servers. Due to constant decline in their handset business guys at Blackberry were thinking of exiting hardware business and instead concentrate on providing software and enterprise services. So early this year Blackberry announced that it would launch the app across all the major mobile platforms including iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

android 4.2.1 its galaxy tab 2, play store saying device is not compatible for this app

It's probably because BBM is only desgined for phones, at least that's what I've heard. However, it doesn't require any phone numbers so I don't see why it shouldn't work on a tablet. It's a fail either way, lol.
