Google Nexus 5, Android 4.4 ‘KitKat’ tipped for October 14 launch

Electronista - The highly-anticipated Google Nexus 5 has been tipped for an October 14 drop date, according to Ausdroid sources. Although not confirmed, the timing would align roughly with last year’s launch timing and reveal of the Nexus 4, which debuted in October running Android 4.2 ‘Jelly Bean.’ Despite the fact that Google has publicly erected its large chocolate covered Android ‘KitKat’ statue on its Mountain View campus, it has not yet revealed when the newly minted operating system will launch, or what features it will bring with it.
