Somewhat inevitably a copy of the book ended up on the Pirate Bay this morning, which is a fitting tribute for someone in Falkvinge’s position. However, the swarthy pirate leaker managed to screw up the release which prompted a lecture from the Pirate Party founder and an official, albeit unfinished, pre-release from the man himself.
Pirate Bay founder Peter Sunde has a new privacy-oriented startup. Today he launches the domain registration service Njalla, which offers site owners full anonymity, shielding them from the prying eyes of outsiders. "Think of us as your friendly drunk (but responsibly so) straw person that takes the blame for your expressions."
The Pirate Bay has been offline for 24 hours, causing concern among many BitTorrent users. The TPB team is aware of the situation and says the problems are being caused by technical issues, so the site is likely to rebounce soon.
After threatening The Pirate Bay with a lawsuit, Kanye West was exposed as a pirate himself this week. The controversy made headlines all around the world and The Pirate Bay team even offered a helping hand. Perhaps even better, there's also a dedicated "Kanye Bay" spin-off which should make the larger-than-life rapper feel right at home.
