Maximum PC: Excuse us a moment as we wipe the dribble from our chin and compose ourselves. You see, we just received word that Samsung lowered the gauntlet by launching a massive 1TB solid state drive that performs in between its 840 Series and 840 Pro Series. The new Samsung 840 EVO is a potential game changer, depending on how the drive maker decides to price its latest SSD, which we hope to know soon.
Daily Video Game writes: "Amazon is running 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB of Samsung 860 EVO internal SSDs on sale with up to 38% off! Those who are in need of an internal SSD, can take advantage of these deals to save big on their SSD."
HAHA ludicrous pricing!
860 EVO £300 for 1TB or £650 for 2TB. That's some sale haha considering I purchase the exact same 1TB direct from Amazon about 2 weeks ago for £120.
ThePCEnthusiast: "Solid State Drives or SSDs are one of the most expensive type of storage for your PC. But it is also the fastest and most reliable kind of storage. Fortunately, prices of some popular and ultra-fast SSDs on the market have gone down. In this article I’ll show you five SSD brands, whose SSDs are on sale right now, specially the larger capacity. Check them out below."
Tom's Hardware: "Last week, Samsung unveiled a successor to its wildly popular 840 at the company's Global SSD Summit in Seoul, South Korea. Stacked with a series of new features and 19 nm, three-bit-per-cell NAND, we benchmark four models and make a recommendation."
