TheVerge - If a mobile operating system can go through a mid-life crisis, Windows Phone 8 might be there: Devices have been on the market since late last year, there’s no major revision in sight (yet), and OEMs — mainly Nokia — are now at the point where they’re ready to release another volley of hardware. So without a publicity boost from a new version of Windows Phone, that puts a lot of pressure on these new phones to be particularly good.
Geek: As the smartphone has shifted into being most people’s primary camera, we’ve gotten a whole lot more picky about the quality of the images these devices take. Simply put, good is no longer good enough. These days, if a smartphone wants to be any sort of contender it needs a camera that is great under all sorts of different circumstances. After all, pretty much anything can take a solid picture out in the sun, but the best devices — the superphones — need to shine when the light gets low.
TechnoBuffalo: Nokia and Verizon have finally and officially announced the Lumia 928. The device will land in Verizon Wireless stores on May 16 for $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year contract.
Mobile & Apps: "May 14 is just around the corner and Nokia is busy promoting the Lumia 928 in time for the big launch. However, the manner in which Nokia is promoting the new device is a bit puzzling. Instead of sizing up the Lumia 928 against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the HTC One, the company chose to compare it with the old Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5."
implying that your phone has to have top of the line specs that will get crappy over 6 months or decent specs optimized for the phone to run like a beast for years to come...
last I checked the iphone 5 and s3 are still going, and more popular than most of the phones out on the market. S4 is irrelevant as of now.
