Maximum PC: Today Nvidia pulls the wraps off its $650 GK110-based 700 series flagship card, the GeForce GTX 780. This board slides directly into the yawning chasm that exists between the $500 GK104-based GTX 680 and the $1,000 GK110-based GTX Titan, though despite its price it's actually much closer in specs and performance to the Titan than it is to the GTX 680.
Maximum PC: Nvidia is hosting a two-day press event in Montreal, but it's AMD that's stealing some of the headlines. The Sunnyvale chip designer decided to crash Nvidia's party by setting up shop in a hotel across the street to showcase its Radeon R9 290X graphics card and compare benchmarks against Nvidia's GeForce GTX 780 part. It's a brazen tactic and we hear Nvidia isn't real happy with AMD's stunt, but GPU politics aside, we have some benchmarks AMD is allowing the media to share.
Have anyone heard if Nvidia going to release the GTX 790. Its hard to overlook those bench marks of the 290x at a modest price.
BenchmarkReviews.com: Very recently Lenovo loaned us their 30-inch ThinkVision LT3053p IPS LED-Backlit LCD Monitor for review. While the AH-IPS display panel was impressive, its size really made us wonder about how much impact it would have on PC video games. Before this behemoth display went back to Lenovo, I decided to test it on some of the most recent graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests frame rate performance at 2560×1600 for the Radeon HD 7950 against GeForce GTX 770, and Radeon HD 7970 against GeForce GTX 780.
In all cases you get what you pay for, people will claim that that extra 300$ is worth it for the 45% minimal performance increase. imo thats a drastic difference for a 770 and 780. I see why its priced the way it is.
HardwarePal: After Nvidia launched its flagship graphics card the Gtx780 for the 700 Series, they also launched the Gtx770 later as a cheaper alternative. The Gtx770 is not actually a new model ...
tbh for me with 670 there simply isn't enough of an improvement to justify the upgrade and the price hike doesn't help
I have 2 Gtx680's in my current pc , it would be a waste of money even for Gtx780s.
looks pretty powerful
the gtx titan is a gundam I cant wait for the generic gundam like mobile suits come out.
780 is a beast and it doesn't have anything on the titan except the price. I need to see the SLI performance on the cards if 1300$ and heat is better than 1 1000$ card.
the 800 series will be godlike.
