I opted for the HTC One over the S4, mainly due to price or I would have opted for the S4 after having an S2 for the past 2 years.

That article is confusing, it mentions removing the battery and sd card from the HTC. The battery cannot be removed due to the way its been manufactured and it has no SD slot. Also the comparison table says 5" on the HTC when it mentions 4"7 in the article...

The main thing that stood out imediately after using both is the sound quality on the HTC One. Disable the Beats Audio option in settings > this is how your average phone sounds. Now enable it, NOTHING comes close to how impressive this sounds and with the headphones its far ahead of any other phone in this department, in my humble opinion. :)
