It promised, and delivered, an end-to-end digital imaging workshop that prioritized speed, efficiency, and ease of use. Today, Adobe is launching a free public beta for Lightroom 5, and thankfully, that original vision hasn't gone out of focus.
Adobe has released an update to clean up the mess that was the profiling system in Lightroom. No longer hidden in the settings menus, the new Lightroom Classic CC and Adobe Camera Raw now show these settings up in the top edit panel.
Adobe Lightroom Mobile is now free on all compatible mobile devices. The company just announced the Android version will now work without a subscription, joining a similar change made for iOS back in October.
Adobe Systems has apologized for releasing a bug-plagued update to its Lightroom software but still faces customer wrath over changes to the program for editing and cataloging photos.
