HTC One Developer Edition announced, $649 with SIM and bootloader unlocked

Engadget - HTC is getting into the Developer Edition trend -- a compromise necessary since CEO Peter Chou's plan to stop locking bootloaders entirely didn't stick -- as it's announced tonight that a variant of its new One that will be available with both SIM and bootloader unlocked. Due to arrive in the US at the same time as the standard carrier versions, it will keep the same powerful specs and slick design (no, the case is not transparent) we loved in our review, but without the restrictions.

Android 5.0 Lollipop update coming to One M8, One M7 in January

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been sent out to most Google Play Edition devices, as well as some Motorola and LG smartphones, but we are yet to see it show up on the HTC One M8 and One M7. After numerous delays caused by Google not accepting the build propositions from HTC, we can finally say that we have an official Android 5.0 Lollipop update release date for the HTC One M8 and One M7.

android needs to go back to removing some of the default apps installed. infact id rather have a lighweight, bare bones OS and install each app as i need.
