Microsoft’s Bad Day. Licenses, Fines, and Discounts…OH MY!

Common Man Tech: It’s been a big bad day for the giant software maker from Redmond, Washington.

The First Sign of Trouble:

A German court this morning leveled a $730 million dollar fine against Microsoft, because they’ve been pricks about complying with a 2009 commitment they made. The agreement with the EU was to allow customers a clearer path to changing their default browser within Windows, from Internet Exploder Explorer, to whatever they wanted to use. But apparently, those crazy guys at MS haven’t quite been living-up to their end of the bargain here, as Sharif Sakr at Engadget explains:
