TechRadar - The Samsung NX1000 is the entry-level model in Samsung's latest generation of NX line compact system cameras (CSCs).
With an RRP of £599 / US$699 / AU$649 (and a street price that's come down considerably since its launch), the plastic-bodied, 20.3 megapixel Samsung NX1000 is clearly aimed at photographers looking to take the next step with their photography and take more control over the picture-taking process.
Pocket-Lint: Delve into Samsung’s website and it now terms all of its cameras as "SMART cameras" with Wi-Fi as standard. Samsung is one of the few manufacturers trying to push forward connectivity in the camera market.
The Samsung NX1000 - the company’s entry-level yet high-resolution compact system camera - is no exception, as it too includes a one-touch Smart Link button for Wi-Fi connectivity to share between devices.
TheVerge - Samsung has said that it's going to put more of a focus on its interchangeable lens cameras, and the company has just shown us its refreshed NX series: the DSLR-like NX20, the rangefinder-styled NX210, and the diminutive NX1000. All three of the cameras now feature 8fps continuous shooting and a maximum ISO of 12,800, and they've also been upgraded with Wi-Fi "Smart Camera" connectivity for uploading to Facebook, YouTube, and others straight from the device. Additionally, they all share the same Samsung-developed and Samsung-built 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor.
