Pocket Lint: The Sony Cyber-shot RX1 is a compact camera like no other. That may sound like the company's former brand slogan, as this camera - the world's first fixed-lens compact to feature a full-frame 35mm sensor - is no "make.believe". This is the real deal, complete with a fixed Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.0 Sonnar T* lens to match.
SRN: Meet the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III, the compact camera that's capable of 4K still images and 1080p 60/fps video recording. We've got all the details.
SRN: We cover the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III specs and pictures, including the cameras megapixels, lens capabilities, aperture, weight and battery life.
Pocket-Lint: The thriving high-end compact camera market is one area that Sony’s broad range of Cyber-shot models hasn’t infiltrated like many of its competitors. The current HX20V might teeter on the cusp of high-end, but it’s not got the guts to outperform the likes of the Olympus XZ-1 or Canon G1 X.
But that’s all set to change: The Sony RX100 is the company’s first large-sensor compact camera venture. Its 1-inch sensor is around four times larger than those in most standard compact cameras, including the aforementioned HX20V.
