Geek: There has been a bit of excitement in certain mobile circles about LG’s upcoming Optimus G smartphone. The Android-powered, 4.7-inch, Gorilla glass-wrapped, 4G LTE smartphone has a lot going for it, but the quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip inside remains its headlining feature.
My Tech Update - It’s been a while since LG got rid of the Optimus range of android smartphones and now it has decided to give some Kitkat love to these older Optimus models.
Engadget - LTE TDD's not much of a thing in the US (other than on Clearwire), but it's widely used across Asia and in countries like Saudi Arabia. Still, many handset makers are just getting on board, and LG has launched its first smartphone with those bands -- an Optimus G variant -- on Saudi Telecom's network.

We've received a flurry of tips and screenshots like the one above denoting that Ma Bell is slowly starting to trickle out Android 4.1.2 to its Optimus G owners.
