They definitely added some great features, but iOS feels really old. I hope they have some core design change in September with the new iPhone. The new maps are cool and so is do not disturb though.

Kingpin you have been able to do that for years since the Iphone 3G. Free converters convert your MP3 to a m4r. Not to mention audiko.net will do any song or even audio from a youtube clip and turn it into a ringtone...So yes, it can and has been able to do that for awhile.

Just not natively through the phone by saying "Use MP3 as ringtone".

@Kingpin A simple 10 minute jailbreak can fix that problem. It's the same way with automobiles. Of course the "factory" doesn't put a bunch of stuff on there that you DO want, but what do you do? You go out and put whatever u want into it. Same thing if you ask me.

a little fidgeting in iTunes will give you any song you want as a ringtone. no jailbreak required.

Can you send files to another phone using bluetooth....Shouldnt have to jailbreak for simple things like that. Everybody knows what he means..bluetooth on ios has been for headsets only. Stop trying to kid yourselves. Ios has its place and is better than some android lovers give it credit for but im sick and tired of this 'if we aint got it it aint needed' crap iphone guys believe......it then flips to normal things that have been around for ages being the i sh*t when apple introduces it.

you shouldn't be hyped.

its nothing you haven't seen before. all the features have been around for ages. but when Apple uses it, they advertise it like they came out with it first and the Apple fanboys eat it up.

article on the front page claiming iOS6 has over 200 new features, yet including an mp3 ringtone is one of them. really!! really!! shits been around for ages now. thats just one example of many.

Android ICS has far surpassed iOS. there are custom roms out there that even Stock roms cant hold candle to. thats the power of open source, its not limited to what one company thinks they can do.

call me a fanboy all you want, deep down even you know android has more functionality than iOS. you may be thinking with 200 new features iOS is doing great, but news for you is we had it for years.

Apple phones are very nice, well made. But restrictive. Always better to jailbreak.

I have a Samsung galaxy s2.

Best phone i've ever had. Won't need another for years.

Even though S3 is quad, and i'm guessing next apple will be, who needs quad seriously, gaming is not good enough without analogue sticks. How long will the bat last with more going on.

But i'll still check the tech out. After all we all love our toys.

Till date, this has been probably one of the most disgusting firmware upgrade from Apple.. I mean seriously you count "setting up a song as an Alarm" a big feature??. LOLZ!!!, it's been there for years(courtesy Jailbreak!).

This is where I like Android, you don't any jailbreak bullshit to perform key tasks like easily sending files over bluetooth without having to get involved in hassles like first converting the files or jailbreaking your device!.

Ice Cream Sandwich is definitely much better than iOS 6 (features wise). Apple fanboys are just gonna neglect the fact that Apple is seriously out of ideas!. When you buy such an expensive smartphone, you don't waste a single bit of time on making it to perform even small tasks!.

Without jailbreak, Apple is nothing!

yes you hit the nail on the head, from a neutral like plateau.

this update brings featres that have been in the cellphone market since the 90s.

they just said oh the we can dim the screen to a new low. omg omg new setting new feature ... -_-. how technology becomes impressive when you have no base knowledge.

ios 6.0 just caught up to the feature set of android 2.3 if anything. nothing impressive just needed features that should have been there from the start.
