Why I think Amazon's Echo is the breakthrough product of 2015 - CNET

Commentary: Forget smartwatches and virtual reality. Echo tops them all simply by being a good listener.

Honestly, I thought it was cool at first but some things are holding me back:

1. Dosent seem to be able to do anything siri or google cant do with voice commands, google/apple's actually seem to do a better job!

2. You have to have it plugged in at all times, no battery

IT has huge potential dont get me wrong, it would be great if it sounded like you were actually talking to a human or it could mix conversation with you.....or just do something siri cant do....

Its got potential. cant wait to see how it evolves!

Edit- Unless they use it to record our personal data and sell a la facebook lol

Seeing how it's not even released over here in the EU/UK "Being the breakthrough product of 2015" is a, lets say, bold statement to make.

From what I've read about it, it still seems to be in it's beta stage infancy.

Looks interesting though none the less.
